Avaya Appoints Ben Samman as the New General Manager for Hong Kong and Macao

Hong Kong – Avaya Inc, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services announced that it has appointed Ben Samman as the General Manager for Avaya in Hong Kong and Macao. Ben will oversee the operations of Avaya’s business in Hong Kong and Macao to drive growth and deliver intelligent communications solutions to help enterprises in this region gain a competitive edge.

Based in Hong Kong, Ben will report to Timothy Mak, the Managing Director for Avaya in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. In this new role, Ben will assume full responsibilities to drive Avaya’s sales, marketing, and business development activities in Hong Kong and Macao. He will draw on Avaya’s leading-edge and innovative voice and IP-based technologies to help the enterprise customers manage their communications more efficiently and profitably.

“Ben has a solid track record in the enterprise communications industry and has delivered remarkable results for our customers,” said Timothy Mak. “Hong Kong is one of the world’s most important financial markets while Macao already leapfrogs Las Vegas to become the world’s largest gaming market and it is set to become one of the largest entertainment resorts in Asia Pacific. These two markets are also strategically important hubs for multinational companies to enter China market. I am confident that Ben will leverage his experience in enterprise communications to embrace the growth potential and help us continue to grow and develop our business in Hong Kong and Macao.”

Ben has more than a decade of sales and technical experience gained in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to this appointment, Ben was the Business Development Director for Avaya Asia Pacific focusing on external growth opportunities.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, and a Bachelor of Degree in Computer Science and International Business from the Yale University.
