– Avaya Japan Ltd. today announced that MIC Research Institute (MIC), an independent research company, has ranked Avaya as the number one leader in providing communications solutions for the Contact Center market in Japan for eight consecutive years.
According to MIC’s report entitled: “The current and Future of IT Solutions Market Enables CRM 20081 ,” issued on March 19, 2008, Avaya Japan received the highest share of 43.2 per cent in 2007 based on the number of shipment in seats 2 up by 19.8 per cent from the closest competitor. MIC predicts that Avaya will sustain its leading position in 2008 with the company’s focus on selling Voice Portal, middleware and its plan to release solution targeting mid market.
According to MIC, this market will grow consistently. In 2007, the Contact Center market size was 33,260 million Japanese yen and predicted to grow by 104.2 per cent (33,620 million Japanese yen) in 2008.
“In this arena, Avaya has established its position as a top vendor. Besides contact center applications, Avaya has focused on Voice Portal and middleware. It is expected that this will contribute to its growth on IVR and software after 2009,” said Yukinori Kumagai, Researcher, MIC Research Institute.
