How do I download software and firmware updates for my Avaya systems?

Keeping your communications systems current with the latest software and firmware updates can be a time-consuming and cumbersome administrative task. Avaya introduces a new online download tool to help you streamline update management. Our new software and firmware download center is available to our enterprise customers via support.avaya.com. Access is password protected. Passwords are readily available to our customers and authorized partners. On the site, you will be able to view downloads that are applicable to each of your systems by location and obtain a historical log of updates that have been downloaded.

How do I download software and firmware updates for my Avaya systems?
 
For our enterprise-sized customers, all of your currently installed Avaya systems, solutions, and applications are registered on the software and firmware download center. New components will be registered when purchased. Registration enables you to view and access only the applicable downloads for each of your specific locations and the specific equipment and versions at that site. Downloads will be available until a product is no longer supported under an Avaya Extended Support Agreement.

When using the download center, you will see a log of each update downloaded for your equipment from the Avaya site. A “Previously Downloaded Software” table will show the download date and the ID of the person who performed the download. For our partners, we advise that you do not download patches and then implement them on multiple customers’ systems, because the table won’t reflect that individual customers’ downloads have occurred.

Any Avaya customer or Authorized Channel Partner must have a login and password to access and use the software and firmware download center. This login is the standard Avaya SSO (Single Sign On) Login, which many customers and partners already have. When you attempt to access the download center from support.avaya.com, you’ll be prompted for your SSO Login. If you need a Login, follow the “Register Now” path to get a Login immediately.

If you already are signed up to receive eNotifications, you will continue to receive proactive notices about downloads for your solutions. Also, Security Alerts will continue to be sent to eNotification subscribers.
