Structured Cabling Maintenance is available for 8 am-5 pm coverage on these wiring products connected to your Avaya solution:
  • Horizontal Cabling (includes wire to telephones, paging systems and speakers—usually covers CAT 3, 5, and 5E cable)
  • Single Customer Riser Cable (cable between floors when the cable supports the same customer and is not part of a building’s riser cable that supports multiple customers)
  • Wall Jacks, Connecting Blocks
  • Cross Connect Fields on the client’s side of the local exchange company or common carrier network interface
  • Patch Panels, Patch Cords, Repeaters (for appropriate systems)


Damage is covered if it occurs in the normal course of business, such as:
  • Telephone jack behind desk damaged due to wear and tear
  • Cables damaged due to end users pulling jacks out of walls, patch cords, etc.
  • Rodent damage
  • Corrosion of improperly protected terminals


Coverage Excludes:
  • Acts of nature
  • Multi-customer riser cable
  • Outside Plant Wiring such as black cable, fiber optic cable
