Nu Skin is a skin care and nutritional supplement products
company. Its Nagoya branch office was established as the
company’s first walk-in shopping-style store.
It decided to implement an IP telephony system to help
save space, provide intelligent call handling features,
such as voicemail, and improved management capabilities
for the head office. Nu Skin Nagoya introduced an Avaya
S8300 Media Server which features IP telephony, voicemail,
PoE switch and G350 Media Gateway enclosed in a compact
cabinet.
The company has benefited from a reduction in wiring
costs. A remote management tool was introduced to allow
the IT division in Tokyo to provide management services
remotely. With an eye toward the company-wide deployment
of IP telephony in future, the company is geared to
the attainment of the efficient communication environment.
