Chungwa Telecom (CHT) was incorporated in 1996 under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications with a registered capital at NT$96B. CHT provided a range of comprehensive telecom services including long-distance and international calls, GSM, Internet Services, broadband networking and satellite communications.CHT is the most experiennced and largest integrated telecommunication operator in Taiwan.

CHT was recruited largely for its 1500 agent call center which handles 150,000 calls per day. They consolidated 20 small centers into 6 DEFINITY(R)Communications Servers and employ the DEFINITY Call Center Solution. They have also deployed Avaya Call Management System.Deployment of the solution improved connectivity by 30%, doubled agent efficiency.
